3) What happens when the arms pop off?

  • Simply pop it back on. Because of the patented pivoting arm hinge, instead of breaking, the arm hinge pops off.
  • If you have more than one pair you can custom design your own pair, by changing the arms.

4) What happens when the arm comes out of the hinge?

There are two component parts to the arm. If they should come apart, they are designed to pop back together. The components are very resilient, so don't be afraid to be forceful. Use very firm pressure to push each component into the other until they snap back into place--first on the small hinge and arm, and then between the lens frame and the hinge/arm combo.

5) Why don't they stay straight on my face?

Because of the patented hinges that allow the glasses to fold flat, they have no catches to keep the arms locked in a wearable position. Because of this they will sometimes be crooked if they are knocked while on the face or put on incorrectly. To avoid this, we recommend the following:

  • With two hands, open the glasses to the wearable position
  • Always use two hands to put on the glasses
  • Wear them high on the nose. The further back they are, the better they stay in place

6) What are the glasses made out of?

The lenses and frames are made of METHACRYLATE

  • This material will not yellow or corrode
  • It is one of the most durable thermoplastics
  • It absorbs 100% of Ultraviolet rays

The temples/arms are made out of TROGAMID CX7323 which is a microcrystalline special polyamide which:
  • is extraordinarily resistant
  • can tolerate very high and very low temperatures

7) Do they offer UV protection?

Yes! Metharcrylate absorbs 100% of UV rays. All Nannini Flat Specs offer 100% UV protectiion, even the plain readers!

8) What is the difference between Compact 1 and Compact 2?

The difference between Compact 1 and Compact 2 is that Compact 1 is a very geometric/rectangular shaped lens without a rim. Where as the Compact 2 is a slightly rounded rectangle with a rim at the bottom of the lens. The size of the lenses are virtually identical (Compact 2 has lenses that are approximately 1/8" larger than Compact 1).
